Villy Kontontonikolaki (b.1990, Greece) is a performer, director and writer working between London and Athens. She is captivated by the unlimited possibilities of visual art & performance and their transformative power. She creates an aesthetic synthesis inspired by the hidden details and overlooked narratives that often escape notice. Recently, her work has explored social justice issues such as gender inequality, and animal cruelty. She is drawn to the surreal unseen. Her creative vision is fueled by a sensitivity to the world’s subtle nuances and a constant curiosity to uncover what lies beyond the surface.
 

With a diverse educational journey spanning acting, photography, history of art and curatorial studies, she has cultivated a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling. She holds a Diploma in Acting from the Theatre of Changes in Athens and an MA in History of Design & Curatorial Studies from the Parsons School of Design in New York. Her artistic foundation is further enriched by a BA in Photography, Fashion & Art Directing. Finally, she holds a foundation degree from Central Saint Martins in London in the Acting and Performing arts.
 

Her work reflects her unique perspective, always seeking to capture the world as she experiences it; intricate, dreamlike and deeply personal.
